I take photos every day because it’s something I love to do. But I know not everyone is like this! However, I also know that almost everyone take photos on trips. And if you’ve been looking for a great way to display travel photos, I have it!
I like to be reminded of fun trips I’ve taken. I print out photos and frame them all the time. I also like to make travel scrapbooks. And I’m always on the lookout for fun ways to display my travel photos. This display is my current favorite:
How To Display Travel Photos
The whole project started when I bought a small table for our new loft apartment. I found it on overstock.com and it shipped free! When I unpacked it I discovered this fairly rough frame protecting the top of the table. I knew as soon as I saw it that it would make a great display.
I started by painting it with a flat white paint. Next I used an antiquing stain (I got at Lowes) to give it an “aged” look. I didn’t try to make it perfect at all. I really liked the old weathered look.
While the frame was drying I cut 5 pieces of twine and strung 5 clips for the photos on each piece of twine. Then I just hot glued each piece of twine on the back of the frame.
I finished off my display by printing off my travel photos and labeling each one with the location and date they were taken on.
I have taken many more trips than I have room on my display. I just rotate photos ocassionally so I get to enjoy all of them.
My travel photo display is seriously one of my favorite things. I have so many great memories traveling with my husband and I love seeing them on display.
This frame was really easy to make and hopefully I explained it well. If you have any questions, just let me know. Good luck making your own travel photo display!
