Baseball Birthday Party Ideas

I recently had the chance to help put together a birthday party for a little guy turning one. His mother wanted to have a baseball party theme so we kicked into gear to come up with the best baseball birthday party ideas we could think of.  Here’s are the details of the party and how we pulled it all together:

The idea was to celebrate his “rookie year” since this was Bryson’s first birthday. That naturally led to a baseball card invitation with his photo on the front and his “stats” and the “game day” info on the back.

I should have taken a picture of the table and kitchen island before it was all loaded up, but you can see from this photo that the table was covered with astro-turf. (Thanks to my friend, Don, who owns a flooring store and has access to this kind of stuff. It was perfect!)

I designed pennants for the cupcake toppers and for the banners. The baseball design was repeated everywhere from the water bottle labels to the “I Am One” banner on the high birthday party ideas

#4 – Pick baseball theme foods

The party was packed with hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, Cracker Jacks, cotton candy, Babe Ruth candy bars, popcorn and lemonade. The cupcakes were decorated like baseballs. Everything just shouted “Ball Park”!

#5 – Create a baseball cakebaseball birthday party ideas

This perfect cake was designed and made by a friend. You really can’t do better for a baseball birthday party than a baseball cake.

baseball birthday party ideas#6 – Dress for a ballgame

The birthday boy showed up for his party sporting his rookie jersey. A lot of the guests wore baseball attire too so the whole party had a very fun vibe with everyone excited to celebrate the big day.

In the end, it was an awesome party that could not have turned out better. It was actually very easy to pull off with the help of a good design person. (Luckily I own a printing company and can do my own design work, but this could be done easily by anyone who does graphic design.) My only regret was not having enough time to bake baseball-shaped cake pops!!!
