Summer is racing by and it’s time to start thinking about 4th of July celebrations. I love a good summer party and hanging out with friends. I wanted to find some fun party decorations and treats and I think I’ve done just that. Here are my favorite 4th of July party ideas for this year’s party:
I had to start with the table decorations and I love this table runner by Good Housekeeping. I don’t have a lot of time to shop for or create decorations so this table runner is a perfect choice for me. All you need is a white tablecloth and crepe paper in blue and red. Simply cut the crepe paper to the right lengths and weave them together. Use double sided tape to attach to the table cloth. Quick and easy!
Step 2 was to find a great centerpiece like this one from Between Naps on the Porch. Again, it gives lots of color in a quick and easy way. You can fill a tall white container with sand (or kitty litter!) and add patriotic pinwheels and you’re done. I also like the mix of white and red plates and colorful napkins. The cupcakes at each place adds a nice touch.
With the table set I was ready to find some 4th of July inspired food and drinks.
This red, white and blue creation by Big Bear’s Wife is a mix of cranberry juice, blue Gatorade Frost and Dt. 7-Up. I love how the colors stay separated. (The separation works because the drinks have varying amounts of sugar content.)
4th of July is a fun holiday to decorate for and even the food looks fun. These jello cups by Cincy Shopper take a little time to put together because you have to allow the different sections to set-up before you can add the next section, but the final result is worth it!
Next up . . . some 4th of July food by Donuts, Dresses and Dirt. Another easy to make idea for those of you like me who really don’t have a lot of extra time to put together a fun party that looks fabulous.
This last dessert by Skinny Taste looks so much more complicated than it is. It uses a store bought angel food cake, fresh blueberries, strawberries, white chocolate pudding and cream.
I love all of these 4th of July ideas. They look quick and easy and I think I can pull them off in the little time I have at home. I’m looking forward to a wonderful 4th of July!!! Hope you have a great holiday!
